UQ’s extensive, high-quality range of around 300 undergraduate and postgraduate programs is one of the most comprehensive on offer. We provide choices and give students flexibility to meet your learning goals.

Many of UQ’s degrees offer practical experiences such as field trips and industry placements to boost your skills and enhance employability. UQ engages with industry to provide mentorship opportunities and inform curriculum development. UQ also allows undergraduate students to undertake 2 bachelor’s degrees at the same time (dual degree programs), but in a shorter period of time than if they were completed separately.

Beyond the classroom, the University provides an exciting array of activities and events, catering to the social and extracurricular interests of its students. UQ’s award-winning Careers and Employability Service supports students to get the competitive edge after graduation. Students take advantage of an annual program of employment workshops and networking events, connecting them to the university’s extensive community of alumni and professional partners. UQ Ventures supports students to grow their entrepreneurial potential by collaborating and connecting students with experts in the startup ecosystem. We also offer world-class sporting facilities; more than 200 social, sports, and academic clubs and societies; and many cultural activities such as theatre, dances, concerts, movie nights, debates, barbecues, markets, museums and art exhibitions.

Stepping onto a UQ campus inspires excellence and greatness. Our iconic campuses are thoughtfully and cleverly designed with students in mind and have strong connections to Queensland's history.

UQ’s largest and main campus, St Lucia, has a reputation for being one of the world’s most beautiful. It is a vibrant mix of historical sandstone buildings, modern architecture, lush parklands and lakes. It is a city within a city with everything students need to study, live and relax.

UQ’s Herston campus is in the heart of Brisbane’s health district. It is home to the Medicine and Public Health schools, the UQ Centre for Clinical Research, Oral Health Centre and the research activities of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

UQ Gatton, the University’s rural campus, is located near the town of Gatton, 87 kilometres west of Brisbane’s city centre. The Gatton campus combines the rural traditions of its Queensland Agricultural College heritage with innovative research and teaching facilities in agriculture, animal science, veterinary science and the environment.

Students can take advantage of UQ’s location as a springboard to Queensland’s much-loved tourist destinations. Golden beaches, ancient rainforests, scenic mountains, and charming outback towns are all within an hour or two’s drive away.
